FAWW Gallery at the San Francisco Art Book Fair
July 2025 | Minnesota Street Project, San Francisco
After a packed weekend in Vancouver, we headed south to one of our favourite stops on the tour: San Francisco Art Book Fair. This city never disappoints—huge crowds, a deep love of print culture, and an audience that truly gets what FAWW stands for. We last exhibited here in 2023, and the growth in both scale and energy was undeniable. This year felt like a proper return, and we came prepared.
Our booth at Minnesota Street Project was transformed into a full-bleed visual installation—walls layered with electric gradients, political satire, maximalist colour palettes, and surreal iconography. People stopped, stared, and stayed.
Highlights from the weekend’s bestsellers:
-
“Chaos in the CBD” by Floating Bstrd
A crowd favourite—this screen print flew off the racks by Saturday. Graphic, bold, and perfectly pitched for the club and design crowd alike.
-
“Tangerine Dream” by Floating Bstrd
A striking print referencing the legendary electronic band. The crisp use of colour gradients and silhouettes made this one of the weekend’s strongest sellers.
-
Gradient Series by Dunja Janković
These luminous optical works continue to hold attention. Many people returned from last year specifically asking for “the gradient ones.” They remain a cornerstone of the collection.
-
“Margo in Margate” prints
Dreamy, voyeuristic illustrations that feel like postcards from a fever dream. These struck a chord with younger buyers and nostalgic collectors alike.
-
Restaurant series by Personality Crisis
The Brat and Bouchon posters were big hits with design lovers and foodie collectors. They sparked lots of conversation about restaurants as cultural icons and aesthetic experiences.
Beyond the top sellers, we had strong interest in our Portuguese, Polish and Balkan print collectives. Buyers were curious about the production process , the artists’ backgrounds, and the political/cultural commentary embedded in the works.
Massive thanks to Gaelen and the San Francisco Art Book Fair team for hosting a brilliant event, and to every visitor, collector, friend and fellow stallholder who came through. It’s clear print is having a moment again, and we’re proud to be part of pushing that momentum forward.
Next stop: Los Angeles.
Catch us this weekend at Artists & Fleas (Venice) and Melrose Trading Post (Fairfax).
Posters, prints, club culture, chaos, colour—we’re bringing it all.
