Dunja Jankovic
Dunja Jankovic is an artist based in Barcelona, Spain, known for her interdisciplinary work that encompasses collage, abstract comics, installation, site-specific interventions, and screen print. Born in Croatia, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and later earned her Masters degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Jankovic's work has been exhibited globally, at venues such as Gallery Daeppen in Basel, Studio Cromie in Puglia, Aurora Gallery in Barcelona, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, and the Power Station of Art in Shanghai.
Jankovic is also a prominent figure in the organisation of multimedia art projects. She founded SKVER, a project based in Losinj, Croatia, which ran from 2010 to 2015, and co-organised The Projects, a festival of experimental comics and narrative arts, in Portland, Oregon, between 2012 and 2013. During her time in Portland, she also taught experimental comic practices at the Independent Publishing Resource Centre. Since 2014, Jankovic has been managing her own screen print studio and production.
