Art Curation & Mural Commissions for Interior Designers

Forget About White Walls has always been about living with art, not hanging one polite picture in a big empty room. We bring that same idea to interiors. FAWW Gallery works with interior designers, architects and developers to curate art and commission murals for whole buildings: student accommodation, homes, workplaces, hotels and bars. We find the work, frame it, hang it and, when a wall deserves it, get an artist to paint it.

Everything we place comes from the artists and print studios we already work with: hand-pulled screen prints, posters, small editions and original works from independent studios across Europe and beyond. Nothing mass-produced, nothing chosen from a catalogue.

The Propeller Quarter, Bristol

Our biggest project so far. Working with YTL Construction, we curated the art for an entire new student building in Bristol, from reception and the lounges to the meeting rooms, study spaces and every corridor in between. It's being delivered in phases, and a second building is next.

We started from the interior scheme, its colours and its layout, and gave every space its own character. A big statement work against deep blue walls in the lounge. A salon-style wall of framed posters, back to back, above the meeting table. Smaller pairings around the breakout seating, and loud typographic prints carrying colour down the corridors. We proposed the work wall by wall, framed every piece, and were on site with the installers to hang it.

Then we asked Dunja Jankovic, one of the artists we've worked with longest, to paint a mural. She designed it for the building's architecture and palette and painted it by hand on site, turning a tall, blank feature wall into the moment everyone stops at.

How we work

Send us your drawings, mood boards, palette, budget and programme. We come back with a selection of works and mural ideas for each space, with sizes, framing and placement, ready to show your client. Once it's agreed, we source directly from the artists and studios, frame everything, commission anything bespoke, and deliver and hang it on site alongside your contractors. Multi-building and phased projects are no problem; we work to your timeline.

For murals, we match the space with an artist whose work already goes from print to wall. They design in response to your scheme, with rounds of feedback before anything is painted, and we look after the scheduling, wall preparation, access and materials until it's signed off.

We can supply bespoke murals, limited edition screen prints, posters, original works on paper, gallery walls and complete art schemes, to buy or to rent. The artists include Matrijaršija, Le Dernier Cri, Prysm Edition, Personality Crisis, Floating Bstrd and Dunja Jankovic.

Do you work with interior designers on trade projects?
Yes. Interior designers, architects, developers and contractors are a big part of what we do.

Can you commission a bespoke mural?
Yes. We find the right artist, develop the design with you and manage it on site until it's finished.

Can you do a whole building, or a phased project?
Yes. We curate complete schemes for entire buildings and deliver in phases to match your construction programme.

Do you frame and install?
Yes. Every piece is framed to suit the scheme, and we deliver and hang it ourselves.

Can we rent the art instead of buying it?
Yes. We offer short and long-term rentals as well as outright purchase.
